It’s no secret that women go through a lot, every day, in every part of the world. It’s not just a South African reality; it’s a global one. Women are abused. Women are abandoned to raise children alone. Women face heartbreak, disappointment, and pressure to be strong even when they are breaking inside. Women carry financial burdens, emotional labour, societal expectations, and cultural demands that rarely give them space to breathe. Women are told to endure, to “hold on,” to forgive endlessly, and to settle for less than they deserve.

And recently in South Africa, Gender-Based Violence has been declared a national crisis because the pain, the fear, and the trauma have reached unbearable levels. Women are going through so much. We are fighting battles seen and unseen.
